Sustainable Rudgwick

A couple of months ago, I wrote an article in this magazine about setting up a group to help Rudgwick become more sustainable. Well, a few people got in contact, and we now have the "Sustainable Rudgwick" group up and running!

There are already a number of groups in the village looking at preserving the local environment or helping local biodiversity, but we felt that there was nobody looking at how we use energy in the village as a whole. We are coming up with project ideas across areas like public and private transport, making your home more efficient, and so on. There are plenty of ways that we can save energy, and of course that means saving money as well!

We will be getting out into the community, linking up with other groups and attending local events. Also, in future editions of this magazine, we will be providing some information on simple ways to cut your bills and save energy.

If you'd like to know more, or if you want to get involved, please visit http://www.sustainablerudgwick.org.uk, or call James on 823063.
